Frequently Asked Questions

We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee! Thorough deep steam cleaning, with noticeable results, is what you will get. At A&D your safety is very important to us! Our process does NOT expose you, your family, or your pets to ANY health hazards. Carpet is one of the most popular and cost-effective flooring options available for Homes and offices.

Unlike other types of flooring, carpet has a fiber structure that tends to accumulate soil very quickly. Just think about the chemical pollutants, germs, and allergens that you gather on your shoes. To remove dirt and other unwanted soils, we use only the proven methods recommended by carpet manufacturers. With our experience, industry-leading chemistry, and top-of-the-line truck mounts we guarantee results that will last.

When it comes to professional cleaning, carpet cleaning is one of the most difficult and labor-intensive processes. To be done correctly, it requires special training, practiced skills, and years of experience. At A&D we are constantly perfecting our craft and keeping up to date with industry standards.

At A&D, upholstery is cleaned using the latest equipment and methods. The proper method and chemistry are determined based on the type of fabric, and our technicians are trained to identify and clean all different fabrics.

Before cleaning starts, we place drop cloths under the furniture.

The fabric is vacuumed and shampooed to fully loosen embedded soil.

Spotting agents are used to address spots and stains that remain.

If requested, a special fabric protector may be applied to keep your furniture cleaner for longer.

When was the last time you had the tile and grout surfaces in your home cleaned and sealed? Did you know that grout should be sealed annually? The tile and grout surfaces in your home can easily become dirty and unattractive creating an unsightly grid pattern and shortening the lifespan of your floor, which is why they need to be periodically cleaned and sealed.

At A&D we specialize in restoring your tile and grout back to its original state using chemistry, knowledge, and industry-leading equipment. We have the ability to steam clean hard surfaces with up to 2000 psi.

What is Grout?

Grout is a rough, porous material used in between tiles to fill up excess space and bind tiles together. Grout is typically applied as a paste or mortar; liquid upon installation, but it quickly becomes a solid surface.

Aside from the obvious aesthetic benefits of having a clean surface, keeping grout clean will actually prolong its lifespan. If you allow contaminants to pile up in the grout, it is more likely to crack and degrade. So regular cleaning can actually prolong the lifespan of your tiled surfaces! Regular professional cleanings will also substantially increase the lifespan of your grout. A professional cleaning can sanitize grout, especially for grout in humid areas that might develop mold (such as in a bathroom or shower). At A&D we will also be able to use specialized chemicals for different areas of the house; you might not need the same cleaner for kitchen grout as you do for bathroom grout. Professionals will also be able to utilize specialized equipment to blow out all contaminants lodged within the grout – equipment that most homeowners don’t have access to.

What is Sealant and why is it necessary?

Most grout you will be using is called sanded, meaning that grout contains sand. Sand is used by manufacturers not just because it is cheap but also because it is a good material for what is a simple job: filling in a hole. Sand is porous, which means that grout is porous. Unfortunately, once the grout has been applied and dried, it is ready to absorb any liquid that comes it’s way, like water. By penetrating the grout with a sealer first, you are pre-empting water and other liquids from penetrating the grout. Grout that has been properly sealed is much easier to maintain because of the barrier that the sealant creates between the porous grout and any foreign soil.

Tile & Grout restoration & color seal

Lack of proper installation and or maintenance can result in failed grout lines, cracked tiles, stains, and unsightly grid patterns. At A&D we have specially formulated grout that will bond to just about anything. Our color seal process is top of the line and can restore your tile and grout to its original natural beauty, with a like-new finish. We can guarantee 100 percent uniformity with this process, eliminating all stains and damaged grout. If you are simply just tired of the color of your grout we are able to change the color with this process saving you thousands by eliminating the need for full floor replacement.

Does your Countertop look dull and lack its original luster? From a basic steam clean and seal to a complete restoration, A&D has you covered. Our countertop refinishing is sure to protect your investment and bring added value to your home. Due to its porous nature, natural stone requires sealant. Sealants fill and cover pores that exist on the surface of any stone, granite included.

But what is porosity anyway? It is a measure of the number of pores (tiny holes) in a given material or surface. This quality is directly related to the liquid absorption rating of that material. Think about it like this, the more porous the countertop is, the more liquid it will take in. In most cases, especially in your kitchen, liquids penetrating the pores, equal stains. Therefore sealing, filling, and covering the holes (pores) on your countertop, is imperative to the health of your stone.

Marble, travertine, and limestone polishing are processes used to restore the natural shine and luster of these stone surfaces. Let’s look at each one individually:

  • Marble Polishing: Marble is a metamorphic rock that is prized for its beauty and used in various applications, including flooring, countertops, and decorative elements. Over time, marble can lose its shine due to wear, scratches, and the accumulation of dirt and grime. Marble polishing involves the use of abrasive materials and techniques to remove the outer layer of the stone, revealing a fresh, smooth surface. The process typically involves grinding, honing, and polishing with progressively finer grits of abrasives to achieve a high-gloss finish.

  • Travertine Polishing: Travertine is a type of limestone that forms in mineral-rich hot springs. It is often used for flooring, countertops, and wall cladding. Like marble, travertine can become dull and scratched over time. Travertine polishing involves a similar process to marble polishing, where the surface is ground, honed, and polished to remove imperfections and restore its natural shine. However, travertine has a unique porous structure that requires additional steps, such as filling the holes with a specialized filler, before polishing.

  • Limestone Polishing: Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed primarily of calcium carbonate. It is commonly used in construction, as well as for decorative purposes. Limestone surfaces can lose their shine and develop scratches due to regular use and exposure to abrasive materials. Limestone polishing involves similar techniques as marble and travertine polishing. The process typically begins with grinding the surface to remove scratches and unevenness, followed by honing and polishing to achieve a smooth, glossy finish.
